The theme of this year’s parade is a ‘Sudbury Sporty Christmas’
The Santa Claus Parade Committee announced the date today. The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m.
“This year, we are proud to present the parade under the vibrant and energetic theme of ‘A Sudbury Sporty Christmas, promising a festive fusion of Sudbury's love for sports and the magic of Christmas,” the parade committee said in a release. “Picture this: Santa and his merry elves dribbling basketballs, skating down the streets, and hitting home runs, all while spreading cheer and goodwill.”
The honorary chairs for this year’s parade are Pure Country Radio hosts Josh and Coop. As for the 2023 parade judges, they are Wendy Watson from Greater Sudbury Utilities, Jeff MacIntyre from the firm Marketing hounds, Yonaniko Grenon from Glencore’s Sudbury Operations, and Greater Sudbury Police Chief Paul Pedersen.
“Get ready to be dazzled by the magic of the season,” said Parade Committee Chair, Laurie Prudhomme. “A Sudbury Sporty Christmas is not just a parade; it’s an experience that will warm your hearts and create memories that last a lifetime. Come join us on Nov. 18 at 5:30 p.m., and let’s celebrate the holiday season together, Sudbury style!”
