Condolences are pouring in following a fatal motor vehicle incident on Highway 144 on Wednesday afternoon in which a City of Greater Sudbury employee was killed
A City of Greater Sudbury employee was killed in a motor vehicle incident on Highway 144 near Dowling on Wednesday.“It is with great sorrow that we announce the loss of our dear brother yesterday, in a fatal motor vehicle accident, at work,” CUPE 4705 posted to Facebook this morning.A city spokesperson confirmed the death of a city employee and said a statement with more information will be released later today.
Our sister site Sudbury.com reached out to Nipissing West OPP by phone this morning but did not receive an immediate response.“He always had a joke to tell...rest in peace my friend,” one commenter wrote.“I had the best of times working with you. Going to miss those daily laughs,” another commenter posted. “Till we meet again.”

Two teenagers charged with stealing a motor vehicle in SudburyThe OPP have charged two teenagers with stealing a motor vehicle in Sudbury.
