, Metrick says they aim to offer something unique to Canadians looking to elevate their at-home experience, from custom furniture designs to vintage rugs.
“We see and touch every item before it makes it into our collection, and we’d never sell anything that we ourselves wouldn’t have in one of our own homes,” Metrick says. “We’re obsessive when it comes to products. We believe in pushing design forward and we seek to create what we believe to be true modern heirlooms.”Q. For those who aren’t familiar, what is Elte?Elte is a Canadian home furnishings brand based in Toronto that specializes in artisanal, design-forward pieces.
Q. Our sense of home has changed so much during the pandemic. How, if at all, have you seen this reflected in your business?The pandemic has surely made people appreciate just how important their homes are and how much impact they have in our everyday lives. At Elte, we’ve been advocating for the importance of great home design for more than 100 years and so instead of revising our mission, we’re doubling down on it.
