Four new Changemakers’ Workshops to open in B.C. by end of 2023.
In late June, the company opened a new Canadian flagship location in Toronto, located at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Billed as the sixth Changemaker’s Workshop for the body care company in the country, the store opening signifies the company’s continued emphasis on the local market that includes 110 store across the country. We caught up with Hilary Lloyd, the brand’s vice-president of marketing and CSR, to learn more.
In addition to our retail presence, we also have a strong history of activism in Canada. We’re currently celebrating Canada’s ban on cosmetic animal testing, a cause we’ve been fighting for globally since 1989 with our animal advocacy partner Cruelty Free International. The news was formally announced on Thursday, June 22, with the passing of the Budget Implementation Act .
Later to come this fall, we’ll be renovating our full tea-tree range, too, to create an even more efficacious formula and new sustainable packaging. The new formulation will combine our Community Fair Trade tea tree oil with salicylic acid to improve skin blemishes, bumps, and texture.
We have dedicated spaces for activism in-store called ACT stations that encourage customers to get involved in the social issues affecting their local communities and empower them to take action.
