About 30 to 40 students were seen sleeping outside under tarps at the school.
A pro-Palestinian demonstration is underway at Stony Brook University, with plans to be back again on Thursday.
Organizers say the university is not meeting with them. However, the vice president of students affairs says they have not received a request in the last 24 hours. The school is encouraging free speech and peaceful demonstrations but explained the area where the demonstration is public but does have a reservation system.
