A school in Colorado was forced to let a student keep a controversial patch on his backpack after a teacher ordered him to remove it.

Footage of Jaiden, 12, being told by a school official that he couldn’t have the historic Gadsden flag with the words “Don’t Tread on Me” patch on his bag “due to its origins with slavery and slave trade” caught the attention of many.The director at The Vanguard School in Colorado Springs said it was “disruptive to the classroom environment.”
