The team remains in second in the OHL's West Division as the regular season schedule winds down
The opening 10 seconds weren’t the way they drew it up, but the Soo Greyhounds have little to complain about when looking back on two periods of work on Saturday night.Despite their opponent t opening the scoring, the Greyhounds used a strong effort through two periods to skate to a 5-2 Ontario Hockey League victory over the Windsor Spitfires Saturday at the GFL Memorial Gardens.
The Greyhounds took a 2-1 lead in the second period as Julian Fantino took a pass in the left circle from Jacob Frasca and beat Costanzo short side 56 seconds into the period. The Greyhounds retook the two-goal lead when Jack Beck took a short pass from Gavin Hayes as the two crossed paths through the slot. Beck then beat Costanzo stick side from the right circle at 11:49.
Cristoforo was checked out by paramedics in the building following the second period. Torres said the blueliner was “very white, very pale” during the intermission.
