Police said a gun battle erupted around 3 a.m. Saturday between different people or groups the 1800 block of 88th Avenue.
A stray bullet went through a wall of the woman’s home in the 1900 block 88th Avenue, striking her in the head as she slept in a bedroom, authorities said.
It was not immediately known if anyone else was in the home. Some parked vehicles were also hit by gunfire but no other injuries were reported.Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $7,500 in reward money for information leading to the arrests of the shooters.
