A man posing as a customer was shot and killed Thursday night after pulling a gun on a store clerk at a gas station on the North Side, according to officials on the scene.
According to police, the man walked up to the counter of a Valero gas station in the 9500 block of San Pedro, pretending to reach for his wallet but instead pulling out a firearm. Police said the store clerk then pulled out his own gun and shot the man, who dropped his weapon. As he went to reach for the gun, the store clerk shot him again, according to police.Police have not identified the man who was shot and killed.
