Three people have died, 8 have lost their vision and 4 patients had to have their eyeballs removed due to a rare drug-resistant eye infection, according to the latest CDC data.

U.S. health officials are advising people to stop using the over-the-counter eye drops, EzriCare Artificial Tears, that have been linked to an outbreak of drug-resistant infections of Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
In a video, CDC epidemiologist Maroya Walters said people should immediately stop using recalled eye products linked to an a rare bacteria linked to outbreak among 68 patients in 16 states. Three people have died, 8 have lost their vision and 4 patients had to have their eyeballs removed due to the infection, according to the latest CDC data.No cases have been reported in Alabama.
The recalled products are EzriCare Artificial Tears, Delsam Pharma Artificial Tears and Delsam Pharma Artificial Eye Ointment. All of the eye products are imported from India-based Global Pharma Healthcare Private Ltd.
