Quinte West OPP say they have arrested and charged a driver after a vehicle was deemed stolen.
At around 7 a.m. on Friday, OPP officers were on patrol when they stopped a vehicle on the 401 in Quinte West for a traffic related offence.61-year-old David Russell of Durham region was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000, Alter/ Destroy/ Removing a Vehicle Identification Number and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
The accused was released from custody and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on April 6.
