Pro-union Starbucks workers said they have walked out of U.S. stores Thursday as baristas seek to push the company for higher pay and improved staffing levels
Pro-union Starbucks Corp. workers said they have walked out of U.S. stores Thursday as baristas seek to push the company for higher pay and improved staffing levels.
The Starbucks Workers United union said baristas intended to leave their posts at more than 100 stores in conjunction with the company’s “Red Cup Day,” an annual promotion where Starbucks gives away reusable red cups to mark the holiday season. Baristas planned to hand customers red Starbucks Workers United union cups outside cafes.
