An exciting new Star Wars theory hints Lucasfilm has secretly brought back the ancient Sith - transforming the canon's past and future!

A new Star Wars theory suggests the franchise has brought back the original Sith from Legends, changing the canon forever. Modern Star Wars viewers may be surprised to learn that, for decades, the nature of the Sith was a secret in Star Wars. George Lucas made a throwaway reference to Darth Vader being the "Dark Lord of the Sith" in the original trilogy, but he refused to explain what it meant.

Sith culture was brutal and warlike, but that didn't stop these ancient Sith spreading across the galaxy; one colony, on Yavin 4, evolved into the race known as the Massassi who built the ancient temples that would eventually house the Rebel Alliance. But the Sith themselves were essentially bred out of existence over the next 2,000 years, and when the Sith truly emerged on a galactic scale, it was in the recognizable form of a human-dominated dark side cult.

Has Star Wars Brought Back The Sith - In The Present Day? Delilah S. Dawson's novel Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade tells the story of Iskat Akaris, one of the Imperial Inquisitors. Brought up among the Jedi, Iskat Akaris was nevertheless a poor fit for the order; she had a natural predilection toward the dark side, so much so she believed her Force gift to be killing.
