Spock, Worf and Benjamin Sisko are set to collide in Star Trek's first ever comics' crossover. Last year, IDW Publishing released Star Trek #1, a Deep Space Nine sequel that sees Captain Sisko and a ragtag crew take on a mysterious force that is killing the god-like beings of the Star Trek universe. The book was the opening salvo in a line-wide revitalization of Star Trek comics, continuing with the release of Star Trek: Defiant in March.

Day of Blood kicks off with a Free Comic Book Day special, written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly and Christopher Cantwell with art by Mike Feehan. From there, Day of Blood runs through the two titles, culminating in Star Trek #12 this September.
Day of Blood is a Historic Moment for the Star Trek Franchise 3 Images Close Star Trek kicked off with a powerful force slaughtering the god-like beings of the franchise. In response, the Prophets send Sisko back to discover who, or what, is behind it. Defiant's crew, led by Worf, will deal with the fallout from this god-war, showing the effect it will have on the rest of the galaxy.
Now, the two titles, and crews, are set to collide in Day of Blood. IDW’s new Star Trek comics have upped the ante for the entire franchise, drawing on its 57-year history to create new and compelling stories that honor its trailblazing history. Some of Star Trek’s most popular characters, such as Spock, Worf and Ben Sisko, are featured in the two titles, and Day of Blood is bringing them together, some of them for the first time.
Star Trek’s god-war is raging across the galaxy, and so far has claimed the lives of Gary Mitchell as well as the Crystalline Entities. There will be fallout from the slaughter, and Star Trek: Day of Blood will begin those consequences for Starfleet. Defiant and Star Trek are set to collide this summer in Day of Blood, the first Star Trek comic crossover, bringing together the likes of Sisko, Spock and Worf to stop the god-killer.
