The Calgary Stampeders will look to keep building momentum when they face off with the Ottawa Redblacks at McMahon Stadium.
And most importantly, the offence seemed to take a big step in the right direction after a frustrating start to the season.
“I think so, you have to go through the experiences to build the confidence,” Maier said. “You can’t just make it up on your own in my opinion. You have to experience things and continue to grow as the week goes. I just had a feeling going into that game that we were going to have a really good chance because in practice we got better, it just didn’t show on the field yet, and I felt like last week it did, finally. You can’t rest on that, you’ve gotta keep going and getting better.
And the Stamps really do need to pull out a win here. Their schedule for the rest of the summer is treacherous, with a road-trip to Montreal for a game against the Alouettes next weekend and then a four-game stretch that sees them play the league-leading Toronto Argonauts twice, as well as the Bombers and B.C. Lions. Those are arguably the three best teams in the league, all before Labour Day.This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.
