AKRON, Ohio — Offense, defense and special teams helped play imperative parts in Youngstown Ursuline’s 34-20 win over St. Vincent-St. Mary Friday night.
Senior safety Tairan Davis picked off Rylan Hurley’s pass late in the fourth quarter as the Irish were inside the red zone down one score. Davis took the interception from his own end zone and ran 83 yards downfield. One play later, Christian Lynch made it a 14-point game with under eight minutes left in the fourth quarter. That interception and ensuing touchdown securing Ursuline’s first win against St. Vincent-St. Mary since 2011.
