St. Patrick High School in Thunder Bay has been closed and school has been cancelled for the day following another threat at the school.

St. Patrick High School in Thunder Bay, Ont., has been deemed safe to reopen Wednesday following a threat that prompted officials to cancel classes and send students home early Tuesday. It's the eighth time in recent months the school has been disrupted due to a threat.St. Patrick High School in Thunder Bay was closed and classes were cancelled Tuesday following another threat. After receiving the threat, school officials sent students home shortly after 9 a.m. ET. Thunder Bay Police Service officers and school officials walked through the school and determined there was no threat to student safety. All after-school activities and community events will still be closed on Tuesday evening, though students will be able to pick up any belongings they left behind between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m."We understand the concerns and anxieties such incidents may cause and want to assure you that we are working closely with law enforcement to manage the situation and ensure the ongoing safety of our community," the board said in a statement.Alex Brockman is the executive producer with CBC Thunder Bay.
