St. John’s International Airport had to be evacuated on Friday night after a fire in the main terminal.Airport Emergency Responders along with St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to the scene and were able to contain the blaze.
There were no injuries but the terminal will be closed as officials assess the damage. An update will be provided when the terminal reopens to the public. On Friday, March 24th at approximately 11:30pm the main terminal building at St. John’s International Airport was evacuated due to a fire in a localized area on the 2nd floor of the terminal.
