YouTuber Speed attended his second Manchester United match in a week – but suffered yet another Cristiano Ronaldo heartbreak.to see the Red Devils beat Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup on Thursday night, however, he was unable to watch idol Ronaldo with the Portuguese absent through illness.And Speed has been left heartbroken once againin the Premier League, but he was to be disappointed yet again as Ronaldo was left out of the matchday squad at Craven Cottage.
The news was first broken to Speed by Jamie Redknapp and Louis Saha. Speed was initially in denial before realising the Sky Sports pundits weren’t kidding and then cut an inconsolable figure.He was then invited down the tunnel with Sky Sports reporter Geoff Shreeves, where he had a go at naming the full starting line-ups for both sides.
After hilariously failing to pronounce most of them correctly, Speed then asked Shreeves about Ronaldo’s absence, perhaps hoping that a mistake had been made. And when Shreeves confirmed Ronaldo would play no part at Craven Cottage, Speed collapsed to the floor in anguish at missing out on seeing his hero once again.
There was a consolation prize for Speed, who received a signed Ronaldo Man United shirt, giving him hope that a meet-up with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is still possible.
