One of the first stops for the Special Olympics torch will be in Cleveland this Saturday. Details:
The torch, which will be lit at Soldier Field in Chicago this Friday, will begin its journey east and south and culminate in Orlando with theLaw Enforcement Torch Run
The Cleveland stop is set for Mall C, 200-276 Lakeside Avenue E. Ceremony is 3:30 to 4 p.m. The torch run starts at 4 p.m. An on-field presentation will be held at Progressive Field at 5:40 p.m. before the Detroit Tigers-Cleveland Guardians game, which starts at 6:10 p.m. During the run, six Special Olympics athletes will join law-enforcement officers to carry the Flame of Hope to Exploria Stadium in Orlando.
