Brentford bounced back from Saturday's loss at Everton with a 2-0 win at struggling Southampton. SOUBRE

Kevin Schade was handed his first Brentford start at Southampton as boss Thomas Frank made one change from the defeat at Everton.

The 21-year-old German replaced Mikkel Damsgaard from the side that lost at Goodison Park as the Bees’ 12-match unbeaten Premier League run came to an end. Southampton made two changes from Sunday’s draw at Manchester United, with Mohamed Elyounoussi and Ibrahima Diallo replacing Theo Walcott and Romeo Lavia.

Brentford took the lead after a cagey opening half an hour, capitalising on a free-kick, with Toney in the right place at the far post to tap the ball home after a headed flick-on from Christian Norgaard.
