He hasn’t pulled a Steinbrenner and ordered the Mets to sweep the Yankees in the coming Subway Series – or else.
Cohen’s logic almost certainly means Buck will finish out the season and I’m betting that means 2024, too. As indifferent as Cohen is to the other owners’ scorn – and they do hate guy for destroying MLB’s economy – Flushing’s No. 1 baron wants to be liked by the fans. Cohen considers himself one of the crowd. That was never Steinbrenner’s way.
