Some people throughout the Puget Sound region are still without power, and Friday morning had the coldest temperatures of this fall so far.
On Thursday night, Zach Malm, who lives in Mountlake Terrace, said that he had been without power for over 40 hours.
He said his family has had to gather in the living room with a mattress and blankets in order to stay warm and the majority of the food in their fridges has to be thrown out. The family said they don’t want to depend on a utility company for power and are now considering installing solar panels to avoid being in such a situation again.
