Some Seattle schools announced a move to remote learning Tuesday during the latest COVID-19 case surge.
Lowell Elementary School said it is shifting to remote learning starting Jan. 12 due to high absentee and quarantine rates. A tweet from Seattle Public Schools said the earliest that in-person learning would resume is Jan. 20.
Franklin High School also said it is switching to remote learning starting Jan. 12 due to increased student and staff absences. The school said it will return to in-person learning Jan. 18. Classes at Kimball Elementary School were canceled again Wednesday due to staff and student absence projections and there is no remote instruction.
