No garbage collection will take place on Oct. 2
In observance of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a number of facilities and services operated by the City of Sault Ste. Marie will be closed on Oct. 2. and collection for the remainder of the week will be one day late.The following city facilities will be closed Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation statutory holiday: • Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site • Public Works office.
Garbage and recycling collection No garbage, leaf and yard waste or recycling pickup on Monday, Oct. 2. Collection for the remainder of the week will be one day late. Leaf and Yard Waste is collected on your scheduled garbage day every second week. To view the Leaf and Yard Waste collection calendar, visit the website.
The city’s landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Depot will be closed Sept. 30 – Oct. 2. For more information, visit the website or call Public Works at 705-759-5201. • Cemetery main office will be open • Regular transit and Parabus service will operate • Northern Community Centre
