The pug has apparently partnered with TikTok to show his personal, albeit satirical, 'travel tips' in a series of videos exclusively for the app.
On 8/6/19 at 7:08 PM EDTDoug the Pug, a pup who rose to social media stardom in 2015 and has more than 12 million followers across his social media channels, has just joined TikTok, the short-form video app for light-hearted content that's taken the internet by storm this year.
The TikTok videos bear the hashtag"Bonevoyage" and, like many of Doug the Pug's videos across his platforms, home in on the public's apparent penchant for dogs acting more like humans than animals. More specifically, the videos poke fun at how easy it is for a pet to travel. Doug the Pug became social media famous after a short video of Doug in March 2015 went viral. In it, the pug ran around a Nashville park with a pug balloon attached to his hip while"Best Friend" by Harry Nilsson played in the background. The video now has 21 million views on Facebook.
In addition to running Doug the Pug's social media platforms, Mosier has reportedly facilitated a cameo in a Fall Out Boy music video and other public appearances. She also sells Doug the Pug merchandise and has authored two Doug the Pug books.
