Crowded subway cars raise the risk of infection, but keeping a distance between commuters could make it much harder to get to work on time
In a recent study, real-estate services firm Savills Inc. found that if 50% fewer people are allowed to board the L train, one of the city’s most used subway lines, at rush hour, the average commuter faces a delay of 15 to 18 minutes if all commuters return to work.
