Calgarians woke up Monday to freezing drizzle as temperatures started to fall ahead of a predicted snowfall that Environment and Climate Change Canada says could see accumulations of 10 to 15 centimetres.
The City of Calgary and many other communities in central and southern Alberta are under a snowfall warning, with as much as 15 centimetres of snow expected in some regions.
Environment and Climate Change Canada said snow is expected to fall in many regions of central and southern Alberta, perhaps "heavy at times.""Snow will end tonight over central regions tonight and on Tuesday for southern regions." In a statement sent late Sunday, the city's mobility spokesperson Chris McGeachy said crews are already working preparing roads ahead of the storm to prepare roads.
