The Met Office has issued a fresh weather warning for snow and ice

Scotland is set to be hit with snow tomorrow as drivers are being urged to brace for "difficult" conditions.

The latest alert comes after forecasters warned of 75mph winds blasting parts of Scotland on Wednesday, causing potentially "dangerous" conditions. Southwesterly gales will strengthen throughout the day, lasting until this evening. The Met Office said: "Wintry showers will affect northern and western parts of Scotland this evening and overnight. This will result in icy patches at low levels.
