UK snow map shows 'Beast from the East 2 likely' with 1,000km blizzard to hit
Met Office meteorologists have warned that the likelihood of a major sudden stratospheric warming , has now increased significantly. This weather event is what caused the Beast from the East in February 2018.

However, this is not always the case and impacts on UK weather can also be benign when an SSW occurs."
Meanwhile, the Midlands are predicted to experience snow falling at the rate of 5cm per hour and England 2cm per hour for three days in a row. Earlier this week, a snow and ice warning was issued by the Met Office.
