More than a half-dozen counties in northern Ohio remain under a Level 3 snow emergency.
A sheriff has the authority to declare countywide snow emergencies and traffic restrictions if the road conditions warrant doing so.
What does it mean when a snow emergency is issued in your county?“Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work. Motorists should use extreme caution.”
