Water service was completely cut off today to some people who live in the small town of McLendon-Chisholm, about eight miles south of Rockwall.
What happened there could be a troubling sign of something we could see in other parts of North Texas where the water supply can't keep up with the growing population.
"And so before we even had an opportunity to implement that restriction, the very next day, yesterday, they came out with another notice that said no watering at all," Caldrona said."And then today, the 13th on Wednesday, there's no water, they cut it off to a large portion of our town." "And we can't say that, you know if they had given us that opportunity, back then three weeks ago that this wouldn't have happened," Caldrona said."But we didn't have that opportunity."He said it's bad enough that the landscaping around homes in this neighborhood may not survive.
