Starting Oct. 13, fans of “Shrek” can book a free stay in a dazzling recreation of the character’s swamp home — this one located in the Scottish Highlands.
“What are you doing in my swamp?” is a question some lucky visitors to the Scottish Highlands — and fans of the still-famous 2001 film “Shrek” — will get to ask this fall.a free two-night stay for up to three guests in a thrilling-looking recreation of Shrek’s mossy swamp abode from Oct. 27 to 29. His friend Donkey, its Airbnb “host,” is house-sitting for Halloween, according to the listing description.
Harkening to the animated hit starring Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz, the swampy home is situated under a tree. There’s no kitchen — nor bathroom — inside, but meals and snacks will be included, to be served by the light of an “earwax” candle, an Airbnb spokesperson said. The listing’s images show an array of fun features on top for those who get to stay there.
