Skeena Salmon Arts Fest celebrates 100+ artist submissions, preps for annual art show
The Skeena Salmon Arts Fest has extended its gratitude to the community as the organization prepares for its 2023 Skeena Salmon Art Show. With more than 100 entries submitted, the upcoming exhibition is shaping up to be a vivid celebration of the intertwined relationships of humans and salmon in northern B.C.
Show coordinator Stephanie Patsula highlighted the creative endeavours of northern artists whose participation has been instrumental in bringing the show to life. “This event would not be possible without the creativity, trust, and stories of northern artists. We are thrilled to share their artworks and jewelry with all who attend,” said Patsula. The unique theme that has emerged in the 2023 show reflects the multifaceted relationships that humans and other organisms share with salmon.
