The coaster, called The Flash: Vertical Velocity, will open in 2024 along with a new 'glamping' resort and spa in Great Adventure's safari park.
will open in 2024 and be the theme park’s 15th roller coaster. It’s the first “super boomerang” coaster to open in North America, according to the theme park.
Riders will experience “micro gravity” as they rush upside down on the coaster almost 100 feet off the ground, the theme park said. The Ocean County-based theme park will also unveil a new overnight “glamping” experience in its safari.will have visitors “waking up in an ultra-luxurious tent, watching the sunrise over scenic fields as giraffes freely roam just feet away,” the theme park said on its website.
In the meantime, the Jackson location’s Wild Safari Drive-Thru Adventure will close this fall and reopen next year as the Safari Off-Road Adventure. The revamp will give guests “a more personalized experience” with a guided tour through the safari, the park said.
