Six young puppies were found in front of an abandoned house on Crane Schoolhouse Road late Saturday night.
CLERMONT COUNTY , Ohio - Six young puppies were found in front of an abandoned house in Clermont County late Saturday night.
A passerby on Crane Schoolhouse Road found the litter wondering into the roadway and experiencing a few near-misses with the cars driving by. They immediately contacted the sheriff's office, who contacted the Dog Warden with the Clermont County Animal Shelter. The dog warden took possession of the puppies and has opened an investigation into the incident with intent on prosecuting their former owner, or whoever abandoned them.
The Clermont County Animal Shelter tries to avoid keeping young puppies at the shelter due to their susceptibility to any and all diseases. Instead, the dogs are currently at a local rescue. The six pups appear to be Great Pyrenees, and should be available for adoption at some point within the next two weeks.
This is an open investigation head by Clermont County Animal Shelter's Dog Warden. If you have any information pertaining to this incident please contact
