Sindy Hooper keeps the upbeat spirit throughout Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend
It starts and ends with his mother, Sindy Hooper, whose courage and upbeat spirit was a source of inspiration for many of the more than 27,000 runners who took to the streets to run this weekend.
Until, that is, it returned last September, spreading to her lungs, spine and ribs. She was told by doctors in March that she had six months left to live. “It’s mostly my Mom, following in her footsteps,” Chris said, when asked what drives him. “It’s a big shadow she leaves. But it’s fun. It’s easy to be motivated.”Article content
