Simu Liu has been cast in the new sci-fi movie Hello Stranger, joining an ensemble with Sam Worthington, Robbie Amell, and more.
Simu Liu has joined the cast of Hello Stranger, an upcoming sci-fi thriller also starring Robbie Amell and Sam Worthington. After playing the well-liked Jung Kim across all five seasons of the hit CBC and Netflix comedy series Kim's Convenience, Liu rose to global prominence with his breakout role in the Marvel tentpole, Shang Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings.
As per a new report by Deadline, after the Mark Wahlberg starter Arthur the King, and Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie, Simu Liu has hopped onboard for Hello Stranger, a dramatic tech thriller that is being directed by Wander helmer April Mullen. Also featuring Amell, Worthington, Jordana Brewster, and Alicia Sanz, Hello Stranger will trace the story of Faye, a bereaved widow , who seeks to replace her dead husband Evan with an android simulant lookalike, but fails to develop feelings for him.
