, is one of the its cheeriest inhabitants. “My most important value is being happy,” said the 25 year old on a call from the capital, “and with that comes doing things that make you happy, and with doing things that make you happy comes making things that you’re proud of making and you can look yourself in the eye. [We’re] trying to build a sustainable business, because I want to build a better place for everyone and I want to inspire.
Not that he jumped right into it. After high school Wick followed his sister Nanna to Ivan Grundahl, a Danish design house, where he was exposed to all aspects of the business, from chauffeuring to seeing a drawing become a pattern, sample, and finished garment. Through Grundahl, Wick was scouted by Scoop models, where he gained insight into the marketing and communications aspect of the industry.
Wanting to learn what happens to a product once it hits retail, Wick joined the staff at Storm Copenhagen , which would later carry vision’s first product, a split or collaged MA-2 bomber, made using vintage surplus military gear, with the brand’s signature two-way zipper up the back. “We started from working on a concept more than a design.
“I hope that we can let that go, we should be allowed to be big thinkers,” states Wick who adds that he grew up on a diet of American culture and has “always been super inspired by the U.S. I’ve always looked so much up to the idea you can do whatever you want to.” That being said, Wick, a self-described “family man” who works closely with his family and those he loves, has achieved global attention thanks to the help of his local community.
