Signs of summer: Chi-Cheemaun ferry back in service
The popular Chi-Cheemaun ferry has resumed service between Tobermory and South Baymouth for the 2023 season. It is scheduled to run until Oct. 15.
"As usual, she spent this past winter docked in Owen Sound," says self-proclaimed boat nerd, Graham Gratton. "She sailed from Owen Sound Thursday for Tobermory."Gratton provided us with a photo he took of the Chi-Cheemaun last April when he spotted her on the St. Marys River headed down to Manitoulin Island after spending the winter of 21/22 in the shipyard in Thunder Bay for her 5-year inspection.
