City police responded about 8 a.m. to a report of a shooting in the area of Harrison Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes. The officers found evidence of a shooting and learned a victim had been taken to a St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, Valdes said in a statement.
The man, a Paterson resident whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to Valdes and acting Paterson Police Chief Bert Ribeiro. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 1-877-370-PCPO or email
