Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg has said that political ads are worth less than 1% of the social network's total revenue, as the furore around the firm's stance on political advertising grows. Sandberg told Bloomberg that the revenue Facebook makes from political ads is"not worth the controversy" that it generates, but justified the firm continuing to accept such ads on free speech grounds.
