An adult man in his late 20s was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and head.
November 08, 2023 at 2:37 pm ESTJACKSONVILLE, Fla — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on the 1900 block of Bucknell Avenue.At around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, an adult man in his late 20s was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and head. He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Police said he was undergoing surgery.
An early investigation has found that the victim was inside his vehicle when he was struck. Around 50 to 60 rifle shell casings have been found. Detectives are on scene, searching the area for witnesses and possible surveillance video. There is currently no information on a suspect but some witnesses did say they saw a burgundy-colored sedan flee the area. Police do not know if this car was involved in the shooting or if it was just passing by.
