Children's hospital helipad application approved
Sheffield Children's Hospital has been granted planning permission for a new £6m helipad.
A recent report said using the park lead to issues with patient privacy, unavailability and problems with moving casualties from the park to the hospital across the A57. The papers also highlighted the fact the site could only be used during daylight hours, meaning access to the hospital by air was limited, particularly in winter months.
