Do you have high expectations for SheHulk MCU cameos? Better keep those in check. Writer Jessica Gao says to 'not set yourself up with big expectations to be disappointed.'
She-Hulk: Attorney At Law writer Jessica Gao warns fans to keep their cameo expectations in check. Tatiana Maslany's Jennifer Ann Walters has officially debuted in the MCU. She-Hulk: Attorney At Law episode 1 got the character's origins story out of the way. After accidentally becoming a Hulk, she now tries to continue living as a capable prosecutor who is also a superhero-in-the-making.
The MCU thrives in interconnectivity and one of the perks of this is the ability for characters to do crossovers. After staging Avengers: Endgame, however, the franchise focuses on solo projects and smaller team-ups, saving the next two Avengers films at the end of the Multiverse Saga. Despite that, fans haven't been deprived of fun cameos as almost every MCU Phase 4 project thus far has had at least one.
For what it's worth, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law already has a string of confirmed cameos. Bruce Banner was prominently featured in episode 1, which made sense considering that he was integral to Walters' origins story. Beyond that, Hulk will also be in episode 2 as seen in a newly-released trailer where he checks up on his cousin after becoming She-Hulk.
Gao isn't the first person to warn fans about their expectations regarding MCU cameos in a single project. Leading up to Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige issued the same advisory as buzz regarding the appearance of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield reached a fever pitch. That ultimately panned out, which delighted many. But it shouldn't be a basis for viewers doing the same for She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.
