Family and friends will gather later Thursday morning in Minneapolis to remember and honor the life of Amir Locke, just over two weeks after the 22-year-old Black manThe Rev. Al Sharpton — a nationally known civil rights activist who— is set to deliver the eulogy at the homegoing service at Shiloh Temple International Ministries.
Attorney Ben Crump, who is representing Locke's family, is also scheduled to speak, as are Locke's parents, other relatives and community leaders. A public viewing is set to take place from 10-10:50 a.m. at the congregation on West Broadway. The family processional and funeral are set to begin at 11 a.m.
