The singer's soccer star ex Gerard Piqué is based in Barcelona.
The singer announced on Instagram Sunday that she is moving away from Barcelona and starting a new era in another city. Per, she and sons Milan, 10, and Sasha, 8, will hold a permanent residence in Miami, Florida, where much of her family lives.
"I settled in Barcelona to give my children stability, the same stability we are now looking for in another corner of the world next to family, friends and the sea. Today we begin a new chapter in search of happiness," she wrote in Spanish alongside a photo of Barcelona.She thanked her loved ones and fans for their support amid her big life change.
She concluded, "Thank you to my Spanish fans who have always surrounded me with their love and loyalty. For you, this is just a 'See you later!' and like my father said so many times, 'See you around the curves! ❤️"announced their split . In June 2022, they shared a joint statement on Instagram. "We regret to confirm that we are separating," it read. "For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect our privacy. Thank you for your understanding.
