The FAA said that the average delay is lasting more than four hours due to wind.
"Oakland Airport just recorded a 74 mph wind gust,” UCLA climate scientist Daniel Swain said in a live YouTube broadcast at about 3 p.m. “That’s really high for Oakland. There’s going to be a lot of wind damage around the Bay Area.”with an active Twitter account documenting the state's weather, shared a graphic showing how the eye of the storm is making landfall outside San Francisco.
“Unbelievable satellite imagery of one of the most intense March cyclones on record for California with the eye of the storm making landfall near San Francisco,” McCarthy wrote.
