Silas is the baseball announcer in San Luis Obispo for Cal Poly, where she is in her 22nd season calling Mustangs games. Silas has also called minor-league games for the Blue Jays’ and Yankees’ affiliates in New York state.last week during the Giants’ open house ahead of the season that the club would use a rotation of announcers in the immediate aftermath of Brooks-Moon’s departure after 24 seasons behind the microphone.
