The Giants were 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position in a 4-2 loss to the San Diego Padres.

SAN FRANCISCO — Tyler Rogers got the loss, Taylor Rogers the save and the Giants continued to struggle on offense Monday night in a 4-2 loss to the San Diego Padres before a crowd of 23,279 at Oracle Park.

It was the first time the Rogers brothers, identical twins, had pitched on the same field since their days at Chatfield High in Littleton, Colo. Taylor Rogers was traded from Minnesota to San Diego just before the start of the regular season. The Padres took a 3-2 lead on Tyler Rogers in the seventh on Manny Machado’s soft grounder back to the pitcher, with Trent Grisham scoring from third. San Diego didn’t exactly wear out Rogers, with Ha-Seong Kim opening with an infield single and Trent Grisham’s bunt single putting runners at first and second. Austin Nola lifted a foul to right that Mike Yastrzemski took caught before it hit the screen for an out, with Grisham taking third.

Nick Martinez, the starter for the Padres, gave up one run in five innings with a walk and six strikeouts.
